THE UNITED STATES OF SHAME

Why is anyone surprised at where we are today in the United States? This is a country that does NOT care about their own citizens. Look at our history from the injustices to Native Americans and African Americans.

And now the citizens of Puerto Rico and Flint Michigan are enduring injustices as well.

We do not care enough about our own people to provide them with universal healthcare or education. We do not care enough to pass common sense gun reform and laws to protect fellow Americans of the United States.

When we do not care enough to provide food, water and a safe environment for our own citizens, why would we expect there to be any kindness and compassion to help fellow human beings from other countries? It is a SAD state of affairs and I wish I didn't have these thoughts much less have to write them down. I wish I could write that...

We Are All One, We Are All Equal, We Are All Human Beings, We All Deserve To Live Respectfully.

Someday, I hope that it will be TRUE!
